अथ वेममहीपालो लक्ष्यलक्षणकोविदः । लक्षणं ततवाद्यस्य प्रतिपादयति स्फुटम् ॥
ततं वाद्यं भवेद्दीणा श्रुतिस्वरविशेषणात् । सा च द्विधा मता तत्र श्रुतिविणा पुरोदिता ॥
Explicit (f. 248):
अन्तरा निम्नतां नीतो बुधैराकुञ्चितः स्मृतः । मणिबन्धः प्रयोज्योऽयं जनसङ्धापसारणे ॥
इत्याकुञ्चितः ।
निम्नभावं बहिर्नीतो निकुञ्च इति कथ्यते । दाने च भयदाने च प्रयोज्योऽयं प्रयोऋभिः ॥
Contents: A treatise on music of the late 14th cent. - early 15th cent. attributed to the King Vemabhupāla alias Vira Nārāyaṇa, a Komati King patron of the poet Vāmana Baṭṭa Bana. According to Raghavan V., Vāmana Baṭṭa is probably the real author of the work. This Ms is incomplete and the portion copied here is divided into 12 ch., with other fragmented parts.
